It is a small village, but nevertheless one of the gateways to the wide ski area of Switzerland and France called "Portes du Soleil". But La Chapelle d'Abondance is a Savoyan village, too. Which has kept its charm and which offers a real good stay, especially for families. There are easy ski slopes, a lot of sunshine and a stunning view over the Lake Geneva. You will have wonderful ski holidays. For dinner, you can enjoy a potato cake with Abondance chesse, a local speciality, and the cosy ambience of a mountain village.
In summer there are many opportunities for extensive hikes, mountain bike trails, climbing and canyoning.
