Chalet altitude ~1220 m; top of the lifts 3.842 m – Aiguille du Midi; 152 km ski slopes, 47 ski lifts. The ski area Grands Montets - Argentière (Chamonix) - with most of the pistes at over 2,000 metres - is part of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc ski area, which consists of 9 ski resorts. The modern 10-seater Plan Joran gondola lift is located around 650 metres away. Good connections between the ski resorts by bus or train. Over 50 kilometres of prepared cross-country skiing trails available. The "Vallee Blanche" is a world-famous, breathtaking ski run through a landscape of glaciers (2800 meter of vertical drop, length 20 km; but not marked and a guide is essential). Lifts are open from approx. end of November until first week of May in the valley's highest ski area of Argentière - Grands Montets. There are spectacular freeride routes but also comfortable ski slopes for the whole family, e.g. in Les Houches or Le Tour.
The small ski area ‘Les Chosalets’ with 2 pistes/lifts for beginners, toboggan run and cross-country ski trails is approx. 150 metres away.
