At the bottom of the 'Dents du Midi' lies the traditional ski village Champéry. A cable car connects Champéry with the ski area of 'Portes du Soleil' her. The wonderful ski slopes at Les Crosets and Champoussin are easily accessible. The ski slope leading down the valley to the village part 'Grand Paradis' leads through a solitary valley in the high mountains. Ski bus free of charge between Champéry-Dorf and Grand Paradis. There is a spacious and modern thermal spa in Val d'Illiez. The narrow lanes of Champéry´s old part are characterized by typical Valais timber houses. Furthermore Champéry offers an ice skating rink, 30 km winter hiking and snow shoe trails. Champéry is accessible by train from the Rhone valley. Distance to the lake Geneva approx. 28 km.
