Berwang is a small but fine ski and holiday resort in the Tyrolean Zugspitze region. The traditional village is nicely situated in a side valley, between the Fernpass and the Lech Valley, about 30 km south of the german Boarder (Bavaria). In winter, the Berwang valley is calm dead end location without through traffic. Together with Rinnen and the neighboring village of Bichlbach, Berwang has a entirely connected ski arena with the ski mountains Alpkopf and Rastkopf as well as the Thanellerkar. In about 12 to 20 minutes by car you can reach the famous ski resorts Lermoos and Ehrwald with the Tyrolean Zugspitze cable car.
The wold famous Neuschwanstein Castle of the Bavarian King Ludwig is about 30 min. by car.
