The popular ski resort Les Collons is situated in an outstanding position high above the Val d'Hérens – a side valley of the Rhone valley - between the traditional village of Hérémence and the well-known ski resort of Thyon 2000. It is part of the 4 Vallées | 4 Valleys ski area and linked with Veysonnaz, the Mont Fort glacier and Verbier by ski lifts, cable cars and ski runs. Les Collons offers an amazing view of Matterhorn and Dent Blanche. The chalets are spread on the hills outside the village center with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pubs, a post office, a bank and a sportshop with ski rental. Indoor swimming pool and ski kindergarten for children from 18 months on in Thyon 2000, approx. 6 km.

Winter-Information ski & freeride
The well known ski resort Les Collons is situated beneath the ski staion Thyon 2000 and is part of the ski area 4 Vallées - Verbier with 412 km of ski slopes, 92 ski lifts and cable cars and the ski stations Veysonnaz, Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. In Thyon-Les Collons are several ski slopes for beginners, families and children. Experienced skiers and snowboarders find everything they need at the snowpark „Centralpark“ in Thyon. Freeriders will be convinced by numerous fantastic ski tracks, e.g. the 4 km long “Tour L’Eteygeon” from the peak of Greppon Blanc down to a quiet side valley with a difference in altitude of 1,300 meters; way back via bus. Children from 3 years on can get familiar with the snow in the snow kindergarten. Furthermore, the Swiss ski school in Thyon-Les Collons-Les Masses offers ski- and snowboard courses for kids and adults.

Toboggan and other winter activities
The region offers diverse possibilities: easy and intermediate snow shoe trails and winter hiking tracks through the forest, guided ski tours, ice skating rink in Les Collons and approx. 12 km cross-country skiing tracks.

Summer info
Summer guests in Les Collons can expect a wide range of activities. Enjoy the fresh mountain air while hiking or mountain biking: 500 km of walking-/hiking trails and 330 km Mountainbike-Tours are available in the whole region.

Walking
Families with kids can enjoy easy walks without major differences in altitude along the "Suonen" (historic irrigation channels), e.g. Bisse de Vex. The tour 'Val d’Hérens' goes along the hills to traditional villages and hamlets with wooden houses. At the end of the valley you can visit the 285 m high Grand Dixence dam. There is the starting point for walks around the reservoir. Our recommendation: Take the cable car from the bottom of the Grand Dixence dam up to the dam top and there take the nature trail called "Steinbock-Höhenweg" (=capricorne trail) to the Val des Dix. This circular track goes via the pass Col de Roux offering an amazing view over the reservoir and the snowy peaks and ends at the reservoir.

Mountainbike
Tours of all levels of difficulty are well signposted and bikes can be taken up in the cables cars during summer.

Other summer activities
Climbing, e.g. at Evolène, paragliding over the Val d’Hérens, horse riding and golf (in Sion). Thermal spa resorts in Saillons-les-Bains, Ovronnaz, Leukerbad and Brigerbad also offering a wide range of wellness treatments. Local recreational center with lake at “Les Iles” near Sion, approx. 30 minutes by car.

Excursions
Les Collon is situated close to Italy and France and offers a couple of interessting excursions: The Aletsch glacier declared as UNESCO world heritage site; Zermatt with its exceptional view of the Matterhorn; the Mont Blanc-Express train to Chamonix; the historic center of Sion, the capital of the Valais; Lake Geneva; via the Grand St. Bernhard Pass to the Italian Aosta Valley.
